Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) call on the Attorney General Office (AGO) to be more transparent about management and treatment of corruption cases. The information system currently used at AGO is seen to be used ineffectively.

Prosecutors from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) asked the panel of judges at Corruption Court to deny the objection from former Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Jero Wacik. Prosecutors believe that Jero's argument have no reasonable ground and that the indictment is legitimate.

KPK continue to investigate the alleged bribery for members of the Provincial Representative Council (DPRD) in North Sumatera worth up to Rp 54 billion to abrogate a series of attempts to exert the parliamentary right of inquiry (interpelasi) against non-active Governor Gatot Pujo Nugroho. KPK have initiated cross examination between witness councilmen to determine whether or not there is connection between the bribery and the right of inquiry.

AGO is probing two suspects in corruption of ticket sales at PT Merpati Nusantara Airlines between 2009 and 2012. However, the suspects have been detained. Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes, Widyo Pramono, explained that prosecutors need to be cautious and careful before detaining suspects.

Government and House of Representatives (DPR RI) need to reconsider the incorporation of corruption offenses in the Draft of Criminal Code (KUHP). Criminal law expert from University of Indonesia (UI) Ferdinand Andi Lolo questioned whether corruption, which is an extraordinary crime, can be integrated in law that regulates common crimes.
