Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is to investigate an alleged payoff for the Attorney General Office (Kejagung) in order to abandon a corruption case of social aid in North Sumatera Provincial Administration. According to Deputy Chairman of KPK, Zulkarnain, investigators are investigating information revealed by Evy Susanti, wife of North Sumatera Governor Gatot Pujo Nugroho, while testifying at Jakarta Corruption Court, last Thursday.

Attorney General of Jakarta (Kejati Jakarta) is again at the heels of Dahlan Iskan, former Director of State Electricity (PLN), investigating an alleged corruption of electricity substation procurement. The case was pursued after judges found the accused Ferdinand Rambing guilty of corruption in the project which took place 2011-2013.

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was called to have his administration immediately cease the alleged criminalization against the non-active Deputy Chairman of KPK, Bambang Widjojanto. If pursued, the case could potentially be recorded as a black mark in the fight against corruption.
